Adaptative strategies to make this a reality:
1. Promote Early Exposure to STEM
Introducing STEM concepts to girls at an early age is crucial. Initiatives such as after-school coding clubs, science fairs, and robotics workshops can spark their interest. Providing hands-on experiences and practical learning opportunities helps demystify STEM fields and makes them more appealing.
2. Provide Female Role Models and Mentors
Representation matters. Connecting girls with female role models in STEM careers can inspire them to envision themselves in similar roles. Mentorship programs allow young girls to interact with women who have navigated and succeeded in STEM, providing guidance and encouragement.
3. Address Gender Stereotypes in Education
Societal and cultural stereotypes often discourage girls from pursuing STEM. Schools and communities must actively challenge these biases by promoting gender-neutral teaching practices, showcasing the achievements of women in STEM, and encouraging both boys and girls to explore all career paths.

- OWSD Cameroon National Chapter: A chapter of the Organization for Women in Science for Development that advocates for gender equality in STEM. The chapter also provides training and resources for women scientists.
- She’s STEM Foundation: A non-profit organization that aims to empower women and girls through education, gender equality, and community development.
- African Women In Tech Startups (AfricanWITS): An organization that hosts events to encourage girls to pursue STEM careers.
